Assaf Harel - gwiazda izraelskiej telewizji, autor i prowadzący programu komediowego “Good Night With Assaf Harel.”, poddał miażdżącej krytyce traktowanie Plaestyńczyków przez władze Izraela - porównując izraelską rzeczywistosć w tym względzie z systemem apartheidu w byłej RPA. Celebryta zwrócił uwagę na to, iż system jak wyżej (analogia do apartheidu) nie jest czymś nowym, zaistniałym po dojściu do władzy skrajnej prawicy. Podkreślił on, iż "apartheid był tu ( w Izraelu) od wieków".
