Przede wszystkim, w ostatnich dniach narodowa reprezentacja piłkarska Argentyny odmówiła rozegrania towarzyskiego meczu z reprezentacją Izraela - na stadionie w Jerozolimie. I nawet osobiste interwencje i telefony Benjamina Netyneahu u prezydenta Argentyny nic tu nie wskórały.
Z kolei w Hiszpanii, lider trzeciej co do wielkości partii: Podemos - w odpowiedzi na masakrę Palestyńczyków dokonaną przez siły bezpieczeństwa Izraela, nazwał to państwo "kryminalnym" oraz potępił zbrodnię jak wyżej nazywając ją "rasistowską".

Decyzja burmistrza oznacza, iż Walencja ogłosiła kulturalny i ekonomiczny bojkot Izraela.
