Zasłaniając/zagradzając swym ciałem drogę birmańskim żołnierzom, zakonnica upodobniła się swym czynem do ikonicznego już Chińczyka, który samotnie, w białej koszuli, blokował drogę w czerwcu 1989 r. kolumnie czołgów na placu Tiananmen w Pekinie.
