W Wiedniu otwarto wystawę sztuki nazistowskiej. Małą i skromną, starannie dobraną i.... odpowiednio zaaranżowaną - ale wzbudzającą bardzo duże zainteresowanie. Nie obyło się bez krytyki ( jedna z wiedeńskich gazet podniosła, iż szkoda pieniędzy na ochronę nazistowskiej sztuki) jednakże kuratorzy wystawy w jej obronie podkreślili, iż "rzucanie światła na przeszłość stanowi dobry fundament do podejmowania decyzji o przyszłości" oraz że "kultura pamięci oraz konfrontowania się z własną historią odgrywa ważną rolę w polityce kulturalnej miasta".

So far it has stayed clear of controversy except for one biting commentary in Austrian daily Kurier, which criticized money being spent to preserve Nazi art.

But city councilor Veronica Kaup-Hasler says shedding light on the past is “a good basis for decisions about the future.”

“A culture of remembrance and dealing with one’s own history play an important role in the city’s cultural policy,” she told AFP"
