Kilka dni temu w USA doszło w sieci do prawdziwej wojny kulturowej. Poszło o wpis na facebooku o następującej treści:

"He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions."


Jest to fragment Deklaracji Niepodległości USA - w którym jest mowa o tym, iż król angielski wysyła przeciwko buntującym się osadnikom "bezlitosnych dzikich Indian". Poszło o nazwę amerykańskich autochtonów oraz o - przede wszystkim - ich charakterystykę.
Mam bardzo wiele sympatii dla amerykańskich autochtonów. Uważam, iż dokonano na nich sui generis ludobójstwa - za które do tej pory nie spotkała ich należna rekompensata. Z drugiej strony jednak nie jest w żadnym wypadku wskazane - bo będzie to ze szkodą dla nich i dla prawdy historycznej - forsować, w myśl paradygmatu zdegenerowanej poprawności politycznej, tezy, iż nie byli oni bezlitośni. Bo byli przecież bezlitośni i okrutni.
Zainteresowanym problemem podrzucam link do sui generis rewizjonistycznego tekstu na temat.
